Introduction 

This privacy notice aims to give you information on how Halfspace Limited collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website, including any data you may provide through this website when you sign up to our newsletter or request more information. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data and keep it safe.  We know that there’s a lot of information here, but we want you to be fully informed about your rights, and how we use your data. 

This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. 

You must read this privacy notice together with any other privacy notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

Halfspace Limited is the controller and responsible for your personal data (collectively referred to as "Halfspace", "we", "us" or "our" in this privacy notice). 

 

What is Halfspace? 

Halfspace is a full-service growth marketing agency for the sports, entertainment and leisure industries fuelled by best-in-class audience data solutions that can be activated throughout the marketing funnel. Halfspace delivers a data driven end-to-end full service model to provide clients with long-term revenue driving growth solutions implemented by our specialist digital marketing teams.  Through our work for our clients and customers we process personal data on their behalf. With respect to such personal data, Halfspace is a “data processor” (“Data Processor”) under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and a “service provider” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). What personal data do we collect? 

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature.   

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences. 


How do we collect your personal data?

How and why do we use your personal data?

Who do we share your personal data with? 

We sometimes share your personal data with trusted third parties.  These are companies that are processing the data collected on our behalf and therefore have to adhere to the same strict guidelines and rules in relation to your personal data. We work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected at all times.

  • AWS provides data warehousing, data storage, dashboard reporting and data analytics via a variety of different enterprise software solutions that can be customized to suit customer profiles. We use AWS to store our client’s data, and provide reporting and analytics services on their audiences.

  • Tradespotting uses various ad tech platforms such as SSP (supply-side platforms), DSP (demand-side platforms) and social media platforms to buy advertising on behalf of Halfspace clients. 
  • Where legally required we may share your personal data with:

  • Government, police forces and/or regulatory authorities 
  • As part of actual or potential business sale of Halfspace or its assets, to prevent suspected fraud, to respond to claims asserted against us or to comply with legal processes such as court order. 


Where may your personal data be processed? 

Sometimes we will need to share your personal data with third-party data processors and parties outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Where your data is processed outside the UK or EEA, we will ensure that appropriate data transfer mechanisms are in place to protect that transfer. 

Any transfer of your personal data will follow applicable laws and we will treat the information under the guiding principles of this Privacy Notice.

How do we protect your personal data? 

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. 

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so. 


How long will we keep your personal data? 

We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
